Being at the Hump yesterday was awesome
The Hump felt special again yesterday in the second half. When we made the 2 runs in the 2nd half as Shak and Reed hit the 3s, the Hump exploded. It was great and reminded me of what the Hump can be. Keep winning and get the students back and it can be a tough out.
The students that were there, were pretty dead. Students need to kick it up a gear, maybe it was the winter break hangover since school isn't back yet.
Overall great day in the Hump watching us beat OM again. Hail State!

70% of the students are still back at home on break

How long of a break do they get? When I was in school, we got two weeks off, and then had exams as soon as we got back from Christmas. That was pretty brutal.

Yes I know but the student section was pretty full with students that came back for game. I have 2 kids there and they were there as well. I am hoping the student section gets going once school starts back. I know most of the big friend groups were not all together.
Good crowd and good crowd response overall, just the student section wasn't as kicked up as I've seen or expected for such a big game. I don't like 3 weeks of SEC schedule and no school yet.

They do it now to get the winter semester in to make more money. It is all about the money.

Fall exams are 2nd week of December. Dorms open back up Jan 13. Classes start back Jan 17. But obviously apartment kids can be there whenever.

Jans was really appreciative too. He mentioned how he appreciated the fans coming despite dropping the last two.

For those that saw on CBS, how did the game look on TV? The second half runs felt like big time game moments - CBS road to the final 4 moments that I think looked great on TV.
Also wondering if the announcers said anything about Kermit on the floor guarding Cam I think at the 3. That was the most bizzare moment ever, then the ref just looked and did nothing. Never seen anythng like it. Jans went ballistic over it as he should, ref just ignored him.

Coverage was solid. Announcers gave both schools respect surprisingly. We had the main crew Nantz - Rafferty - Jay Wright.
Don't remember if they gave the Kermit thing coverage.

Brad Nessler, not Nantz.

Lmao I blame watching the Bills game today on that brain fart.

Was there with my son and our friend. It felt good again. Must win more and be competitive in big SEC games to maintain this momentum. Learn to score more and improve the embarrassingly pathetic FT%. Hail State!

The student section was opened up for General Admission tickets, since students aren't back.

The girl?s game was pretty impressive too for the size of the crowd. The boos coming from the crowd were pretty intense. The couple of times the crowd really got fed up with the calls made me glad not to be a ref (well, they probably got paid pretty well for it yesterday though). If the students show when they get back it can be great again.

I like Nessler but Saturday was the first time I had seen him in person. Dude is short, something you don't see in the booth from TV
