We didn't hear anything about KB until contract negotiations other than we had no chance. Let's hope another name is about to come in that's just as promising

A few actually think we are waiting till after the GA/TCU CFC game to announce an OC hire. LOL

Coach conference is next few days. Probably has some interviews lined up there. I don't think we're going to get a "known commodity" for OC. We've almost filled the O side already. My guess, it'll be an OC that's got some QB development on his resume. As much as I hated our offense, Im not going to lie, im a little concern about this hire.

Some folks are losing perspective. I?m tbis age, we feel like we need to know everything. The only thing we know for sure is that we made a run at Briles. The Bobo stuff was garbage. Arnett has made good hires IMO so far.

The issue is some fans thought that we would just throw money and some known OC and that was all there is to it- they would jump.

But when you're paying a coach 3 million it's hard to go above 1.5 even if the money is "there".

And also established OC's aren't going to be totally impressed with who some MSU fans demand to have as assistants in place- see Bumphis and Friend. They may want to bring their own staff in. Right now we have about half a staff filled out- maybe more on that side of the ball including two o-line coaches which is a pretty important hire for coaches.

Add in a unknown as a head coach with Arnett.

So we're probably going to be looking at guys like Casey Woods that are young and up and comers if I had to guess that aren't necessarily household names that have "some question marks" and some risk. But at least we have a veteran QB and a veteran offensive line plus some talent at WR and RB to work with. We just need to be smart with our scheme and find someone that fits them. If we do that we can have a really good year with even an average OC.

Agree. At this point it looks like a coach from a lower tier school will be who we go with. Not that's bad....just not a splash hire.

If somebody argues or says Homedawg is wrong on something concerning MSU athletics. they need to get better "sources" and re-evaluate their so called knowledge.

I appreciate that. I try to protect my sources and don't say a lot of what I hear. But I promise I don't Post anything that I don't have a confirmed source. W that said, sometimes info changes. Ex, cohen didn't have g henderson as his top pitching coach choice. That was true. But guess what happened. We hired Gary henderson. So when I said we weren't hiring Gary henderson I was to right, until his top choices didn't take the job... and then I wasn't.. But in this case, i trust the info I have that bobo was never ever ever on our list. Rosebowl be damned.
