This is what they asked for with relaxed transfer rules and NIL. Next comes collective bargaining.

Scholarships are renewed annually. Every coach in P5 does this.

This. Collegiate players and the media fought for this and turned it into a legitimate business. Welcome to business. It’s not personal. In the end it’s going to do harm for a much larger portion of the student athletes than the ones it benefits and those it benefits will not be an educational benefit just a brief monetary benefit.

It’s also not like he didn’t tell them he was going to be bringing his own luggage or anything.

This is why Sanders is not ready for P5

Total bullshit move. When I saw him tell those players that had committed to the the University of Colorado that they better find another home, it was obvious Sanders cares nothing about college athletes. Very unprofessional way of handling those players. Karma cometh.

How is this any different from how things have always been done? Coaches have always cut players. From the looks of the other offers this particular player gathered he isn?t an upper level player.

He was taking over a 1-11 team for a program that has had only 4 over .500 seasons this century. The players Colorado has been recruiting are not going to improve the program. The only difference in how he and Leach turned over rosters is that Leach put them through the grind first and made them quit. Deon has rightly concluded that it's more efficient to torch it up front and rebuild instead of waiting a season to see who buys in and who doesn't.
"After dealing with Ole Miss for over a year," he said, "I've learned to expect their leadership to do and say things that the leadership at other Division I schools would never consider doing and to justify their actions by reminding themselves that "We're Ole Miss.""

This. There is a press conference Coach Vic Schaefer did one year when there were questions regarding why he wasn?t playing A Espinoza-Hunter. He said in very clear terms that ultimately his job depended on his ability to win games and championships. She said he was very up front with recruits that part of the deal was he was going to keep and play players that helped achieve that goal.
