I think it was a lot warmer in Minneapolis that day - lower 30s as I recall. That's downright balmy for them.

I agree, Moore can help us alot on the perimeter. He needs most of the minutes there, I'm not too impressed with Horton or Davis to be honest

Drake sucked on offense too. State shot more free throws. But Drake made all of theirs. But they best us from the perimeter. State gave up only 56 points and LOST. Ouch.

Good post, this was my concern all off season, Jans brought in a bunch of lunch pale hard nosed mid major guys which isn't all bad, but you have to go get some scoring and we lack that tremendously. Our best scorers are all Howlands guys, none of the transfers really contribute alot except for Davis on occasion.

They have up 82 and 83 the previous two games.
Something happened to us between Minnesota and jsu, and we haven't been the same. Hopefully we can right the ship bc we about to be tested as much as anyone in the country the next couple weeks

We have no Gaurd play.. our gaurds are all just ok, but we need an Iverson Molinar, Q Weatherspoon type guy. In College basketball you win with good gaurd play, and we just don't have it.
Yep. Teams are doubling down on Tolu because we do not have a consistent outside threat. This loss was not a surprise to most of us. We will win a couple of big games where someone goes off and has a big scoring night. Hopefully we can cobble together enough wins otherwise in conference play to make the Dance.

How in today's college game can you have a SEC team where it seems the majority of the team cannot hit a jump shot for 2 or even occasionally a 3? Defense will only keep you close at times if you cannot score. I remember years past when we looked good getting off the bus, but we had a team of athletes not basketball players. 500 in SEC may be tough.

DJ is killing us. I'm not his fan.

I'll never understand how we can suck so bad at free throws from year to year, team to team, and coach to coach. It's almost comical. I'm a short out of shape white guy in my 40s who never played organized basketball. But I can still hit 7 of 10 on a bad day. I understand tired legs affect it, but it's really just not that hard.

He's especially bad considering this is like his 12th season of college basketball. **

We shot 36.7% from 3 tonight. That's actually good for us. Our problem was TOs

We had several problems tonight. But yes, that's been a big one lately.

Lol exactly.. I pull for DJ because he is a good kid but he's the same player he was under Penny Hardaway and Ben Howland. His upside was always there but he just hasn't been able to reach it

True, the scary part is we are playing close games or losing to teams getting blown out. Drake lost by 30 to a bad Richmond team! JSU lost by almost 40 to Texas tech... we have some issues to worry about with this team. Again, other teams have figured us out

Yep. We probably had close to twenty turnovers, lots of fouls and think our three point production was heavily first half. Hard to win with 21 points in the second half.

I'm sure Jans would love to sit DJ, but who do you go to? Doesn't seem to be any upgrade. Guess we just gonna have to deal with his ups and downs

I thought he was playing more in control after going to all home games and watching the others on TV. Just listened to this one, but I don't like DJ handling the ball so much and really don't like him running the point. This team reminds me of our WR room in football, all our guards are similarly skilled and no one has stepped forward. I like Moore best. Maybe his return will help.

DJ has been disappointing in terms of no appreciable improvement from last season thus far. But he's one of the five best we have.

I really like Steven's, he's another hard nosed tough guy. But he's not the scoring threat that we desperately need right now. He hadn't scored in double figures all season until the Nicholls State game. Again, really solid role player averaging 4.5 ppg and 3 rebs and that's no disrespect to him
