SEC West Coaching salaries
Alabama: Nick Saban 11.7 Million
LSU: Brian Kelly 9.5 Million
Texas A&M: Jimbo Fisher 9 million
Ole Miss: Lane Kiffin 9 Million
Auburn: Hugh Freeze 6.5 Million
Mississippi State: Mike Leach 5.5 Million
Arkansas: Sam Pittman 5 Million
-
Leach will be making more than Hugh here pretty shortly.
-
Not SECW, but Kentucky is paying Stoops $8.5.
I thought Jimbo was $9.5.

6th in pay, 3rd in results. Maybe people can quit bellyaching about how much he gets paid now.

I don't get the penis envy with coaching salaries. I think it is good to save money as long as you are getting good results.
Also we could make leach top half for bragging rights. But I think you will still get the same results.
-
Leach gets us a transfer QB that helps, then I vote give him a raise .
-
I expect leach to get bumped up to about 6.5 million as others have said
The biggest waste of money is Jimbo Fisher
Also Ole Miss may have just paid Jimbo money for a guy that will have them 7-5 next year or 8-4 again to just be somewhat relevant and to just have Juice Kiffin and his twitter antics
We are currently getting the best bang for our buck with Coach Arnette, make that man the highest paid DC in the SEC.

'Bout gonna have to give him a raise. The guy he just beat will be making almost twice as much as he does. I'm saying raise him to Lane's new level, but he deserves a decent raise.
That said, I think that coaching salaries are outrageous. Every head coach in the country at every school, regardless of level, owes Nick Saban a big "Thank You".
Probably should double Arnett's salary.

OM goes 7-0 and rated Top 10 devouring cupcakes. Gets to real schedule and loses 4 of last 5 to finish year, does not finish in Top 25. Lane gets $2 mil raise. Nice work if you can get it. Hail State!

What is arnett at right now?

I’m all for Leach and Arnett getting raises. Very successful season for both. Still want to get some higher rated recruits to close out the recruiting cycle.

He's at 3 years, 3.9mil now. I dont know about "doubling" it but a new extension is warranted.
Im not on the Leach raise train yet. He was making 3.75 at WSU and no one was knocking down his door, except Coenz.

Not soon he won't. We aren't going to $7MM. If Leach gets a raise, it's likely to $6MM.

These salaries and the greed of the NCAA directly led to the NIL and Transfer Portal mess. College football as we knew it is now an open professional league. At least the NFL (which I seldom watch unless Dak is playing), has a salary cap.

No one is coming hard for Leach. Give him raises but do not break the bank. Arnett and any other assistant are first. Let's get their pay up there with the rest of the league as is warranted.
Leach drives the train but the assistants do the work especially in recruiting. Pay them first.

So we got the most wins per dollar. With the smallest budget.
If leach gets a big time qb, he is going to be a problem for people.

Leach is already well paid for what he does.

Which is more than fair.
