Lane is not leaving Ole Miss for Auburn as I have said for awhile now. He will leave them but only for a true blue blood. In some ways I think people give Lane too much credit. Lane is 0-3 against Bama, 1-2 against Pittman, 1-2 against LSU, 1-2 against Auburn, 0-1 against Aranda and Baylor who is a better coach than Lane (wins with less talent). He got a good record by playing Vandy 3 times, UK twice, a Will Muschamp SC team and missed aTm in 2020 due to COVID. I do think he is a solid coach but not as elite as he is portrayed. That being said I think we lose tomorrow, but we have our own problems

Switching back to our side, I would rather have a HC that runs the air raid but the modern version.

All the OM ones did too until this new "breaking news" or whatever happened. I don't think he has signed that OM contract yet, and if he just told the players that he is staying that could mean till after the Egg Bowl. Stay tuned for more confusion on the Kiffin Network.

I like Leach a lot but I agree, we need to modernize.

He's supposed to sign the extension tomorrow in a big show before the Egg.
Hold on to your butts.

This reeks of a desperation attempt to get coaches and players mind back on the Egg Bowl. I still think Lane to Auburn is happening.

I like him too, but I just meant if he retired. Too many what ifs too keep up with. He's retiring , He's not retiring. He's going to get fired (not happening).

This smells like Jimmy Sexton trying to get more money out of Auburn.

Auburn is still a blue blood. They've played for 2 natty's since 2010 and got one of them. They also could have won it in 03 or 04? Theyre willing to do anything to win, just like Bama.
Baylor has been doing more with less for years.

I think if Will would push the ball down the field more it would become a lot more modern very quickly.

Could be but Sexton has gotten Kiffin an over $9 million +year contract offer from OM supposedly and if Freeze was hired by Auburn then he could negotiate Freeze's contract. I think OM knows it ain't over until he actually signs that contract if he does.
