Purcell gets 1st 2023 recruit. ESPN top 100 player
I know Women's basketball isn't as popular as it once was but Purcell has come in and hit the ground running on the recruiting trail.
Top 100 4* PG Mjracle Sheppard committed today and we have a bunch of other top 100 girls who have visited and have us in their top 5.
He was able to keep the main core of last years team together and also added some really good transfers in, we won alot of games with 7 girls last year... most of them are back along with Jessika Carter being back and we added some good transfer pieces, don't be surprised if we win alot of games this year

I'm impressed with the guy so far. Those girls played their butts off last year with a short stick so he doesn't have a culture problem to deal with coming in.Those girls are competitors and a coach can work with that. Hope he does well!
-
I look forward to seeing the product on the court. As Joe Moorhead taught us, there is a lot more to running a college program than recruiting and being liked by players.
-
All I got to say is ... he better be in the final four in 3 years. And his offense better be unstoppable this year ****

Very energetic and seems bright as heck. I'm sold so far!

Purcell lands another ESPN top 100 recruit Jasmine Brown ranked as the 20th best gaurd in the country, 54th overall.... If your not paying attention to the Women's program you might want to start. We also have a few more top 100 girls that have us in their top 5 including a 6'6 Center.

Give it a rest Commerce, you are better than that I think.

Purcell has impressed me so far. He may have us back in the dance this year and or years to come. It early but he feels like a good hire.

Sam and his little assistant are awesome! This guy exudes confidence and positivity - all reports are that we got both basketball hires right. Thanks to Bo Hemphill

i am excited for the WBB season. i enjoy watching them play as much as the men. I think this was a Grand slam hire. If he starts winning the fan support will be there in full force. and i believe he will.
-
If his staff can coach them, we got a good one. He's pulled a couple top players already. I'm anxious to see them play. Might take a little time to get everybody on the same page but kids seem to like him.

I like him. He's energetic and seems all in.
