Good arm. Should def help
Losing Groff and likely to lose the guy from Air Force now hurts. Thank goodness Ledbetter is having a great summer

What?s the latest with Skenes? I can?t say I?m surprised by this, never felt like we had solidified ourselves with him over anyone else. He definitely seems to be shopping the best deal, in all possible aspects. Can?t blame him for that.

Davis is underrated, he knows how to pitch. He comes right at hitters doesn't nibble and doesn't walk people. He's not gonna blow people away but I love his command and how he works hitters. He's gonna be a big help.

Yeah, they'll put together a hellacious NIL deal for him.
This is a battle we need to win.

I'm interested to see if Skenes visits us again as well. I wouldn't be surprised if that happens.

The biggest thing it gives us is roster flexibility. Before he committed our only LHP option that was proven was Pico. Now we can potentially start Pico and it also means we have more than one LHP option.

Really think Pico can make the jump to starter? Many on here questioned his strength. Maybe a year's growth will help.

Pico does the main thing that concerns me about lefties. He throws 3/4 and finishes so far to his right that everything tends to end up off the outside to the LH batters and down and in to the RH. Of course when he is locating on either corner, he is pretty impressive. But?. I think he is a middle reliever and will stay a middle reliever unless we go to a similar program we had a few years ago piecing together outings 2 trips through the lineup per pitcher.

I'm not penciling him in a rotation spot but I do think he will compete for one. Same could be said for Davis at this point.
Question his strength? He was one of the few pitchers that even made it through the season for us.

Him as a freshman last year, was pretty much a learning and adjustment season. I expect he will be improved; I think he will be a decent pitcher moving forward.

Pico stands straight up when he pitches. He is pitching with all arm. If he can learn to bend his back and use his lower half, he could pick up some velocity and be much tougher to hit.

I think he's referring to his FB velo, which does need to improve for him to take the next step.
