We went to games 2 and 3 of the CWS finals last year. Had no problems getting tickets at reasonable prices. For game two we sat in the outfield and had a blast, game three we sat in the 3rd base grandstands, crowd was much more subdued (just like the Dude). Key is the be online when the tickets go on sale (usually at midnight). The park is so small there are no bad seats. Don't be afraid of outfield seats.
Buy the cheaper outfield seats ASAP, once you have secure seats for everyone, then start looking for better seats, the closer to game time, the more the prices go down.
