    So here is the quote from Coach Ricketts after the game: "?When they put that first replay on the board, it was pretty obvious that Mia had made contact with the runner. By rule, since Mia did not make a play it was obstruction,? Ricketts said. ?It?s unfortunate that there?s nothing in the rule book that she stood in the box for about three seconds but by the rule book that is correct. In all my years of coaching and playing I?ve never seen that happen.?

    So it sounds like if Mia had been the one that had gotten to the ball and threw the runner out it would not have been interference but since she made contact with the runner and didn't make the play on the ball it was. I believe it was our pitcher that actually made the fielding play.
