yep, and no team has EVER put in an unproven pitcher in blow outs to see what they are made of.. you always go to your #1 closer, sarcasm meter on full tilt_
the thing is , you know that putting inexperienced arms in order to evaluate has ALWAYS been the norm unless your #1 closer needs to get OUTthere. that was my only point.. if there WAS a point, then that was when the discussion was to begin, NOT that I did not know anything about baseball..
that was when you all went total ****tard.. All I was pointing out was the fact that we were putting our # 1 starter on the mound with a 7 run lead
there are times when you do it (which are few) and most of the time you do not..
if you don't understand that, you don't understand baseball...

Dude, everybody knows a 7-0 game is not typically when you see the closer. There's no point in even pointing that out. But it made sense in this situation.

no prob..drinking has nothing to do with it. I was questioning as to why we were doing it and was attacked as to this was always the norm.. there was no reason to attack me as to why we were doing it .. I was attacked and I attacked back.. it ended up quite entertaining and now it's time to go to bed
I now know the internet baseball MSU baseball Gods know that no matter how big the lead is, you bring in you # 1 closer even if you are ahead 10 runs in the 9th..
