Time to drop Tanner and Luke down with Lane
I would have liked for Clark and Mule to have hit in the 9th. Yeager-JAMES-Clark-Mule in a row. We pitched it ok.

Clark hasn't hit crap for about two weeks until the las t couple of games. Like hit two hard hit balls right at the ss. If we don't make the error we probably win. It's the nature of the game. But we hit 7/8 balls hard right at them after the third inning. The first 3 we did nothing.

I don't really care about batting order much, but I would like to see Hatcher lead off with Yeager and James to follow. I want Hatcher's obp in front of Yeager

Hatcher huh...lol

Our problem on offense is we are to free with our swings. Zero walks tonight. Tanner flying out on a first pitch in the 9th down 2. Make him throw you a strike before you start hacking.

Why? The guy has been in the zone all night. Why take what might be the best pitch you see to hit. He just missed it.

Tanner took a 2-0 FB down the middle in 7th and then grounded out on a 2-1 CB. Our pitch selection at the plate is awful
Walk like the King or walk like you don't care who the King is

I lost it on that 2-0 take. Tying run was on deck... there was absolutely no way the pitcher wasn't coming fastball on 2-0, and Tanner just looked at it. Terrible

We have too many guys that try to do too much. It has killed us all year.
They just need to play ball.

All this talk about approach is just talk. Sure, choke up with a 0-2 count. Hit outside pitches the other way. But... see ball, hit ball.
There is a few guys that are talented enough to hit for average and have some power. But for Most of these guys, they are average college hitters at the moment. Nothing more or less.
If RJ was at State for 4 years seeing sec pitching, that dude would be a well rounded hitter. Hancock and James can hit for avg with some power. However Hines, Cumbest, Clark, Tanner ... they will never be Tony Gwynn or Jeffrey Rea. They are big guys with big swings. Doesn't matter who the hitting coach is.

exactly ... at least he swung on a first pitch instead of taking a first pitch fastball strike like the others tend to do .... I always hated just giving up a first pitch strike
OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) - Ole Miss campus police ask students to behave at future baseball games following a recent incident.
The university said students were reportedly throwing rocks at Georgia baseball players during last weekend's series.

Hines,Cumbest and LoTan are the only ones in the lineup that even have a remote chance of making it to a MLB Roster Thats why this team isnt good.

The guy had thrown 111 pitches starting the 9th. Get all up on the plate give him less room for error and make him throw a strike.

He filled it up all night. He would just run that fast ball under your hands and get what we saw all night. We had no walks last night. Both his fastball and change up had big run on them. They look the same out of his hand and he hit his spots on both sides of the plate. Ump had a fairly generous zone on the left handers too. Our guys are overthinking the shit out of it. They just need to relax. But dude threw a great game.

which he did, right down the middle. The guy pumped strikes all night long.

We don't hit fastballs. That's the entire problem with the O. Lo Tan especially is STRUGGLING with fastballs this year. Notice how many foul balls on bad location fastballs next time you watch.
