I could deal with one more year of Howland but I'm just hearing too many people say this is it for him.
Walk like the King or walk like you don't care who the King is

Howland's downfall was he just couldn't sell the program to us fans enough to buy in. If the new coach doesn't improve the results, but he gets fans back in the hump, he won't be fired

Most of our fans would never believe that he coached us to our 3rd highest single season win total either, or that he had as many 20+ win seasons as Williams and a higher winning percentage.
"After dealing with Ole Miss for over a year," he said, "I've learned to expect their leadership to do and say things that the leadership at other Division I schools would never consider doing and to justify their actions by reminding themselves that "We're Ole Miss.""

Expectations are higher now and that's a good thing.
In the 87-88 and 88-89 seasons, I could walk to Hump 30 mins before game, show my ID, get my ticket, and go sit mid court close to court with empty seats all around me. I watched us lose badly to Converse All Americans (think that's the right nobody) one night in pre-season exhibition.
I don't ever want to compare to that again.

I agree with this. The day I'd sign the termination papers is after the day I have a signed contract from new guy

Only difference now is they would check your ticket before you got those empty primo seats

The very reason if it were up to me I would not make a change just to make us a little better but to build a program starting with a young up and coming coach like the guy at Samford. Hire someone to come in and build for a long term program.

3 backcourt violations in the first 6 minutes. Sort of unusual.

Pretty confident I’ve never seen that before. And probably not six TOs in the first six minutes either.
-
They didn't call the foul on us that caused that travel either. Maybe they just aren't calling anything
-
Eleven minutes, ten points
-
If college basketball wants to improve the game, stop calling 70% of collisions an offensive foul
-
Hell I didn?t even know who or when we were playing until the game had already started. I?d completely unplugged.

But only 8 Turnovers. So we got that going for us.

Doesn't a shooter get to land without contact?
-
Finally call a foul on that dude
