Tulane Thread, Game 2 - There's no crying in baseball.

"Rogers Hornsby was my manager, and he called me a talking pile of pig shit. And that was when my parents drove all the way down from Michigan to see me play the game. And did I cry?
NO! And do you know why? Because there's no crying in baseball. THERE'S NO CRYING IN BASEBALL! No crying!"

It stinks to high heaven about Sims, but I'm certain he doesn't want us crying over him. Our guys are still the defending national champions, and it's situations like these when your team leaders emerge. Hit'em where they ain't, boys!

    1. Hancock 1B
    2. James 3B
    3. Hines DH
    4. LoTan C
    5. Seibert LF

    Preston Johnson on the bump.

Interesting to see Seibert still in there vs the lefty Carmouche. Although, Carmouche isn't an overpowering guy. Upper 80s fastball. He's got a really good change up. Our RH hitters will need to watch for that.

Robbie Faulk said he thought he wouldn't be out a long time.

We need him back for sure

You are correct. There were some quitters on this board last night. If Sims is down you plug another pitcher into his spot and compete.

“Looks like a UCL. If so, our season is done.”

That’s an exact quote from last night. So yeah, some quit. I refuse to. It’s time to play ball.

We all want Sims. He’s a badass. Life is easier with Sims on the mound. And we all want him to be successful and healthy. But you have to compete with who you have. And with or without Sims, my goal to compete and win doesn’t change. My sight is still set on Omaha.

Anyway to watch this without adding a new subscription? I can usually watch on ESPN app via my TV login but this time it’s making me want to pay for ESPN+

I was born a Dog and consider it a privilege to have had Omaha on my mind every year. Hard to imagine 50 of my 59 yrs not a game in any of the big 3 has gone unnoticed. In person, TV, radio or newspaper.
