Cynical take: Sounds like it might be helpful for the players. It will be a windfall for the lawyers who want to play at being NCAA Ari Gold. The good ole boy version. Never underestimate a middleman's desire to come in and water things down for their own gain. Again, that's a cynical and hopefully wrongheaded take. Just couldn't help but be reminded of how the music industry/record labels worked before the internet and GarageBand shifted the paradigm.
I'm really hoping this works out for the players benefit. No doubt TLG is providing a needed service when it comes to taxes and structuring finances. Hopefully, they also have the connections and know how to make sure MSU athletes get the best opportunities to earn off their NIL at the local and national level.
