Too often in football we find reasons why we can't and not enough solutions to reach our maximum. If we did that in baseball we would not have a National Championship. It's like we're afraid to try because we may fail and it's just easier to fail if we expect it and have an excuse like "why don't you give money then to fix it."
Think about it- most everyone agrees that we're going to find a way to pay our baseball players way but we can't find a way to supplement our football players?
Seems logical. But OP would rather a professor step up and sponsor a player. Lolz. OM will have no problem finding a business to sponsor a player we want, even though it won't help their ROI, and said business will write it off as a business expense.
