Super Regional Sunday Game Thread
Let's get it going early, boys.
Notre Dame announces LHP Aiden Tyrell as their starter
CMac starting for the Dawgs, and we will be the visiting team today I believe.
Let's Go

Dumbest rule that we have to be visitors. We earned being a host and should be home team.

We're home team in games 1 and 3 and we're literally at home. We have a big advantage regardless of who bats first.
-
Let's play what if....
If CMac comes out early, who do we go to in long relief?
If CMac goes 6ish inning, game is tight, who is first guy out of the pen in a tight one?
-
Brandon Smith if he comes out early
I could see Preston Johnson coming back in a close game in the sixth

Brandon Smith for both

Good call on Smith.
I wonder if we would potentially go to a guy like Stinnett in a close game in the 6th-7th to bridge to Sims again? Stinnett is basically a closer, so why not go with back to back closers and potentially shorten the game tremendously if Mac can give us 5 full

I thought the third game was decided by a coin toss.

I don't think so. It's possible I'm wrong on that, but so far all hosts have been home in Game 1, away in Game 2, and home in Game 3.
-
We need MacLeod to give us at least 5. If we get that far, throw whoever you feel good about. Stinnett, Smith, Simmons, even Cade Smith or Koestler if you're feeling it.
-
If Mac keeps the ball in the park, we'll win. He's got to keep his fastball down and locate his change up vs. these righties.
-
Do we church goers know which channel to tape?
-
Storms building north of Starkville now and moving straight south. Less than 2 hours til tipoff so starting at 5 might be a little iffy. Depends to a great degree on what else builds up.
-
If Cmac makes it through 3, we win, that 3rd inning has been our issue all year.

Brandon Smith, Stinnet, We got plenty of arms. Strategy also depends on the score. if we are up into the 8th, its Sims again.
Interesting, if we are up and Mac comes out early do you dare Houston and go for it all now? If Mac came out early, he could go tomorrow. Also Bednar didn't go a full stretch other day either for game 3 possibility. Game 3 would be a buffet table of pitchers.

Key in my opinion. We can't give up too many bombs and they must be singles. ND gets there juice from HR.
We set them back a bit Sat though. They are now back down to earth - good or bad.
