Well the goal was to win the first two. Goal accomplished.
New goal? Let's end this thing tomorrow and get ready for next week.

Very hard to see VCU or Campbell beating us twice.

I don't let Fristoe see the field. He's been giving up the long ball like crazy lately.

Big time win. I was nervous when they pulled within 2, but our guys responded and swept the leg. That's what I've been wanting to see. I knew Kam would show back up when he got away from SEC arms, so that was good to see. Give me Fristoe tomorrow and let him win this thing for us.

agree. Fristoe doesn't start. Maybe let him start Game 4 if necessary.

No worse than Bednar or Mac.

you haven't been paying attention lately. unless Fristoe looked lights out in the scrimmage last Sunday, Harding will be starting. I would go with Stone Simmons over Fristoe.

Yep. And now we're either going to face VCU's or Campbell's midweek guy while they also thin out their bullpen. If I'm Lemonis I start Harding. Wouldn't be surprised if we go with Fristoe.

His HR numbers aren't worse than Mac's or Bednar's. He's struggled recently but that's not what the post said. I'm not saying pitch him 6 innings. Let him go one time through the order, get them used to gas, and then let Harding come out of the bullpen which is his better role anyway. You have your opinion, I have mine. Just because mine is different doesn't mean I'm "not paying attention"

everyone can have an opinion, yours just happens to be wrong. Lemo may agree with you though, we'll see.
I said you haven't been paying attention b/c I assumed you haven't seen his last few starts.

Harding got shelled when he started vs Mizzou. It's not like he's solidified himself as the third starter. Your opinion is just as correct as mine.

What I said was Fristoe has been giving up a lot of HRs "lately". Is it more than Mac or Bednar? Dunno, but certainly feels like it. The difference is he's been a once through the lineup guy all year. His stuff isn't as good as theirs. Harding has been better for about a month. I'm kind of expecting to see Harding get the start and holding Fristoe in case there's a game 4. If Fristoe is off, it could be 4 or 5 to 0 by the time we get Harding warm.

I just think Harding is a better "change of pace" guy but it doesn't matter as long as we win. Literally don't care.

Yes. And I don't understand why some have continued to be allowed to fail over and over and why Harding who literally had that one bad start and has otherwise performed as a starter against good competition was immediately put back into his bullpen role.
But the reality is with the other teams pitching situation we should be Ok with whoever we go with assuming "that's baseball" doesn't happen to us twice in a row.

In hindsight starting Bednar was the right move with this field. The best chance we had of losing was yesterday. It is easy for fans to say start your midweek or third guy against a four but that's only logical if you have an elite ace- which I don't feel we have- and you're facing a four that has very little chance of beating you. The reality is Samford had a decent- probably 15-20% chance of beating us with their ace as opposed to Southern two years ago who had about a 2-3% chance.
