Exactly, at the end of the game runs are what counts. So, when it's late and they have 2 on nobody out top of the order up is the best time to use your stud (and then give a worse pitcher the 9th with a clean slate vs the bottom of the order)

Yep, that was painful to have Hancock up there with 2 outs in the 9th and a man in scoring position only to see him strikeout without even ever swinging at a pitch.

It’s only a bad move when one losses. Things worked out, and yes luck counts so be it!
Nice road win. First time our middle relievers didn’t do their job.
I bet we see Sim again this weekend.
I hope Auburn is deflate, again. LOL.
Walks by Preston Johnson was the killer tonight.

How about the diving play up the middle in the 8th or 9th against UK ..
Yes the kid had a rough night at the plate. But he is still hitting above .250 and he is a freshman...

3-39 or 3-40 With zero BB in league play
And he is an average at best 1b in the field
It’s time to let Pimentel or Clark have a game or 2
He is a dead out.
He beats the ball into the ground And has more roll over ground ball outs to second than probably our entire team combined.. he had 3 tonight

I'd say he's below average in the field. He's terrible at stretching for outs and he's cost us several outs this year. It's not fair to keep trotting the kid out there.

Not much else to say there it is time. Our other options must be really bad

I'm looking forward to Rex spinning this to you just not watching the games, your eyes not working, your brain being broken, whatever...

The gun was broke...
He's swinging a heavier bat, which is causing the low velocity...
Average exit velocity for a 12 yr old is 65, so he's just inspiring the youth that they too can play at MSU one day...
But, what about the launch angle? It isn't just about exit velocity...
Did I miss any potential excuses???

Well if you measured the exit velo right before it hit the dirt (3ft in front of plate) it’s a rocket - the initial contact with the ground took the energy out of it - just unlucky - just needs more ABs to show you -(Rex probably)
I often wonder why does he always try to catch with 2 hands at first rather than extending and catching the ball with his “face” behind the glove
