If they offer he will get filthy rich and have top end talent so even if in 2 years if he hates it there he will be able to anywhere he wants if they perform on the field. Let’s not forget he just saw how LSU poached two key recruits last minute. If he didn’t know before the difference between the has and the has nots, he knows now.
LSU is a top 3 job. If they still had Saban they'd be what Alabama has been the last decade.

They have been turned down numerous times already. There is a reason people aren't taking that job. We will see what happens.

Steve seems to think that LSU is the biggest threat remaining. I just can't see O wanting to switch to the 3-3-5. I also don't know how anyone could think going to LSU right now is a smart idea. I mean they have multiple NCAA investigations going on as well as a Title IX investigation. They're going to be hit with LOIC and if the Title IX stuff comes back bad then heads will be rolling in Red Stick.

Who all turned them down?

Arnett is gone. It is all but a done deal with LSU.

LSU 247 board. His wife went with him on the interview today and their mods said it’s all but done about 30 minutes ago.

Gotcha, thanks

I understand wanting to get a bigger gig at a top school, but something is off with Arnett interviewing at some of the places he did. I could see LSU and Texas, but he must want out really bad that it is starting to seem like money isn?t the only motivating factor here.

Making more money per year is awesome, since the jobs are the same. I have done this too, went up 300% through two moves between 2015 and 2020. Having more money is awesome. More people should try it.

Manny Diaz factor here. He's a hot up and comer. Maybe he's looking for the best path to a power 5 head coaching gig. Coordinators come and go..... it's the business. Hell, even Saban turns them over left and right.

Sure he'd be fine, assuming he doesn't have some disqualifying baggage. If Arnett is all that determined to leave, let him.

Charlie Strong isn't coming to MSU. It will probably be another name we haven't heard of.

Grantham's still at Florida, isn't he? Haven't heard that he's been fired. I suppose he could be getting fed up working for Mullen and want to leave.

Wasn't LSU broke a couple years ago? I seem to remember that being the case.

They hired Steele to a non-coordinator position. We could still get him
