If I were CML, I would wear my critiques from the lib-facist at ESPN
like a crown and Tweet about it
-
But then he would have to take Nelle training

Well the media seems to have doubled down and critiquing Leach's post game comments.
Probably best to just lay low and say nothing. Hopefully today's games provide enough news content that StAte and Leach roll to the back page.

This shit is becoming unbearable. It was a damn fight. They happen all the time in all sports. What this is is nothing more than a bunch of people that hate the SEC and MSU and don't think we should have been in a bowl game. The same ass hats that said we should have taken our hat in hand and given Army our spot begging forgiveness the whole time we were selected and not them. They want a another reason to hate us and this fight just gave them one. Then you have dickheads like Horka who is pried off his mama's tit long enough to write a hit piece with incorrect information that just flames it up all the more. 17 em all with a jackhammer.

I think we should turn it back on ESPN. They don’t seem to have this many issues when hockey or MLB teams get in brawls? In fact, they play it and laugh about it. What is it about college football players that has them so worked up, I wonder?

There's a certain quality that applies to most college football players that does not apply to very many MLB players and virtually no NHL players. Hmmm...
And it just so happens that Mississippi State is located in the state that has the highest % of people with that certain quality. Hmmm...

Yes, exactly. It's as if they're (media/SEC officials/take your pick) accustomed to certain institutions just rolling over and acting like a puppy that keeps coming back for more abuse. They'll keep playing their role and won't change until we say "no more. You better someone else to beat on." Meanwhile, anytime one of their treasured moneymakers and fortune builders handle a matter "internally," they get characterized as paragons of virtue and grace.
Also, it helps in these situations when MSU people rally and all hands pull in the same direction instead of eating our own.

It's little different than your coming on here. But you know that already. We, us, they whatever get something we value or appreciate from the experience despite all the BS.

That?s what I was thinking as well.

CML comments and actions might play well with a portion of the fan base. They will not play well with the prospects and parents he is trying to recruit. A head coach has to choose his longevity and putting himself at the mercy of the Ole Miss recruiting coordinator is not a real good idea? Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy started his demise with a stupid polo shirt he wore at a practice. That act will impact him during his remaining career.

Leach's post game comments are being taken WAY out of context. He even said he was at the other end of the field and didn't see it yet he was expected to deliver a concise analysis of something he didn't witness. As far as giving ole miss the upper hand, I wouldn't worry about that. They have a coach on staff who killed a kid in practice. A slap fight between 3 players doesn't trump that.

I believe that you are very much on point. My point does not have to be correct or incorrect but it has to be impactful for recruiting. Recruiting is a dirty business and there are clear loosers and winners. As a MSU supporter I would want to make sure that we don't win a moral battle, on content, yet loose a recruiting war? Because of social media, all coaches are subject to observation and consequences for anything they say especially in recruiting.
Strangely, I support your comment but also Maroonthirteen also?

I've seen tweets from one of our recruits that has no issue with the fight. I have a feeling most recruits have no issue with it either.

Good grief there's no football program in this country that hasn't been involved in a scuffle like this. The byu/Memphis fight a couple
years ago was way worse than
than this one and the U used to thrive on this kinda thing, it was there shtick. Espn and the rest of "unbiased" media need to move on. They've talked it to death move on.

I guarantee you every one of us has had thoughts at work that had we spoken out loud would have at least gotten us a reprimand and at worst fired. It's the world we live in now. Public figures like Leach are in even more of a spotlight. While he was speaking yesterday I was cringing thinking he was going to say something out of line that was going to get him in trouble and reflect on MSU. I hate it, but it is what it is. During something like that you just have to deflect it away from yourself and team by simply saying I didn't see what happened or what caused it and I'll have to talk to those involved and watch any tape of it to figure out what happened, and we certainly don't condone any type behavior such as this. That is generic and not what espn and the like are looking for so they'll look for something else to focus on. That would have taken Leach completely out of it and put the spotlight someplace else.
I know that doesn't play well with all the piss and vinegar testosterone badasses on here though. Sorry.

Media apparently wants a humble, remorseful Leach in sackcloth and ashes over the incident. I haven't heard the Tulsa coach say anything close to apologetic over it either but nobody cares about him I guess.

I really don't think the divide on this is "lib-fascist" v whatever the opposite of that is for you. Not everything is life is on that spectrum but that's how people want to look at everything these days.
