Holiday certainly isn't better than the two QBs in the MS//AL game. That's laughable.
Colom could be used as an effective 3rd back in this offense. He also wouldn't be a bad option as a possible 3rd CB. He fits more of an ATH than as a RB
And for Holiday, I'm not speaking about him regarding his abilities as an ATH/DB rather than a QB.

Both are way too small. Neither have elite speed/ability to make up for that size. Holiday should stick with baseball. They don't play a very good schedule in HS either. Nice small school HS players and nothing wrong with that.

Here's a recruiting battle we need to win. If we land him and Cooper, then it'll show me our DL coach can recruit in this conference. He's already proved me wrong on his coaching ability. Hopefully he proves me wrong on his recruiting too.

Both Dawgs. Leach is going to get the defensive players we need. Wish we could get Calloway, but either way, we're going to be pretty good on defense for Leach's tenure. It's going to all come down the offense.
If he repeats what he's done other places, then we're going to be right there with A&M & Auburn consistently for #3 in the West with an occasional chance to compete for the West.

Calloway starts for us next year if we flip him.

I hear you. We're so close, but kids would still rather sit the bench at a blue blood. It's cray cray

Fortunately we have the transfer portal now. I think what may happen in some cases these players decide to go to Alabama and if it doesn't work out there they know that they can always go back to a MSU.

Seems like we feel one of our WR commits is going to flip. My guess would be Buckhaulter. Which has a domino effect with MJ Daniels. Gonna be a bumpy few weeks.

Daniels isn’t flipping to OM...

Is there any chance that we just really liked this guy and wanted to add him, or is it definite that someone will flip?

I think he's a good player. I actually like him better than Buckhaulter. But for months, we've been told that the only way we'd take 5 receivers is if one was elite like Deion Smith. I think this is just precautionary. Buckhaulter and Nabers are shaky, so we don't want to be caught flat footed.

I still like the Simeon Price kid but I don’t think we have room now

We're ok with signing 5 WRs. If Buck jumps ship, we're still good as well.

He's really polished. Not sure how big the upside is, but there are some Walley similarities in route running & how smooth he is

I don't hate the decision because I really like the kids film, but I would've used the spot on a Juco DE. We're gonna be fine at WR. We need some help at DE. Hopefully we get a good grad transfer.

Agree. I think we wanted to wait till February to sign this guy, but my guess is that he was getting too many offers to sign early from other SEC schools & we simply couldn't take the chance of losing him.
