He has moved his announcement up to 7am instead of 1pm tomorrow.

So 9am here?
-
Is that Central or Pacific Time? Any indication of what that might mean?
-
Yes, he's moved it up to 7am PT, 9am Central. I hate to read the tea leaves, it could simply be to get it over with before he starts his school day. That said, I think the only possible read on this one is net positive for MSU.

We're his best offer. I hope we land him.

Not reading anything into it but he has changed his twitter avi back to his highschool jersey and his last two tweets before the announcement tweet were #calgang and #beardown.

The one before that, though, was #HailState, and #beardown is for Arizona, not Cal. So he's basically just drumming up excitement for his announcement. I'm going to guess we don't get him but I do think we still have a decent chance.

One thing to remember....he's got a girlfriend who is or going to college out west. I'm not saying that he's not signing with us, but it's not a positive.

I give up, I'm ready to move on to baseball.

His girlfriend is going to Oregon, where the Ducks are. He is considering State and Arizona. It is approximately 1340 miles from Eugene to UofA and approximately 2482 miles to Starkville. What's 10 hours when driving?

It's not a positive, but surely it's not that big of a factor, is it?. Do high school boys really think they are going to stick with their high school girlfriends through college? I don't think I had any friends that thought they were going to do this. Even ones that would have wanted to recognized the likelihood of that happening was slim. If it's really a toss-up, maybe it's a tie breaker, but why base where you spend the next 3 to 5 years on being able to continue hooking up with a particular girl for another few months, if that.

That's true, but it's closer then Starkville. I hope we sign him.

Unfortunately in some cases, it is an influencing factor. We don't have much longer to wait.

A thousand miles = ten hours driving?
