You think? My impression is their views are polar opposite. I was thinking more like Coach007.

That's why he is not a US senator. I do agree with him on a lot of things but a lot of things I do not. I suspect if he was a US Senator his view might be a little different or he would keep silent.

Word in Jackson this morning: some SEC schools are deciding against sending athletic teams to compete in Mississippi unless there is a removal of the current state flag.
10:33 AM ? Jun 26, 2020?

Yep, just saw that myself. Told some friends that would be next after the SEC and NCAA made their statements. If this flag doesn't change, even after this massive push to do so, we might actually see an even bigger brain drain than we have been. I could easily see people throwing up their arms and saying f*ck it, things will never change, let's just get out.

Why should we care? Ok lets think about this. At first, the WOKE movement was about racism and the rights and treatment of black people in the US. They wanted to level the playing field where black people are treated the same as white or more fortunate people than themselves. This is understood and even applauded by most reasonable humans.
But what we are seeing now is a total rewrite of US history - destroying anything and everything that may offend them. In their misplaced zeal, they chose to spare a notorious Seattle statue glorifying murderer Vladimir Lenin. According to national news, "The statue was originally placed on display in the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic by the Communist Party in the 1980s before being moved to Seattle. So it is, quite literally, Soviet propaganda. So, let’s get this straight: According to the far-left mobs in Seattle and Portland, honoring the man most responsible for helping to create what has become one of the freest nations in the history of the world — George Washington — is bad, but Communist propaganda celebrating one of the 20th century’s most prolific killers is tolerable, or even good?"
Does this sound like a WOKE movement? NO, it is a communist movement as they have gone as far as the creation and occupation of independent zones of the US sovereign soil know as CHOP zones. The people in the CHOP zones have no way of supporting themselves so they make demands on the State/US government to protect, house, feed, clothe and financially support them.
This is nothing but a communist takeover of the US and our own local/state/US government seems complacent to stop this nonsense.
Why should we care? Really!

The Legislature better get their shit together, because this is the type of development that leads to us and OM getting booted out of the SEC.

OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) - Ole Miss campus police ask students to behave at future baseball games following a recent incident.
The university said students were reportedly throwing rocks at Georgia baseball players during last weekend's series.

I suspect Beardo is correct. If, after this big push, the flag is not changed, the SEC will have about seen all they need to see. Perhaps Conf. USA will take us in.

I am not talking about a physical Russian army invasion of the US, we will be destroyed from within which was communisms goal for many decades. It is being accomplished by indoctrinating our college age students in socialism and communism. The Marxist takeover is calculated and incremental. This is often referred to as the ‘long march through the institutions'.
In 1992 the Communist Party USA gathered at the University of California, Berkeley where 1 attendee was amazed to see a room filled with 50-, 60- and 70-year-old men and women, professionally dressed with their briefcases. This individual took notes and is summarized below.
"The plan they unfolded had nothing to do with guns, bombs or violence. They acknowledged their disappointment with what had happened in the Soviet Union but felt they could still "take America down." This time, instead of using force from the outside, they would use public policy from the inside.
They had a three part agenda. They would use their manpower, influence and funds to back anything that would destroy our families, businesses and culture.
Firstly, to destroy the family, they would promote co-habitation instead of marriage. They would also try to get children away from their mothers into government programs at the earliest age possible. They felt the best way to do this was to promote the feminist movement, which had been very effective at making women discontent with marriage and motherhood.
Secondly, to destroy businesses, they aimed to wipe out the profit potential that motivated people to start them. If people couldn't make good money off their ideas and hard work, they would eventually be content working for someone else. They were sure the environmental movement (modest at the time) was the only vehicle capable of creating enough regulation and expense to discourage business growth.
Finally, to destroy our culture, they needed us to abandon our heritage of religion and morality. They believed the homosexual movement, if accepted, would begin to effectively extinguish these values."
Wow, this describes America today 28 years later! We have no moral values (anything is acceptable as long as it feels good), no heritage (being destroyed by so called WOKE) and the destruction of small independent businesses.

Minneapolis city council just unanimously voted to dismantle the police department. But to those with their heads buried in the sand and would rather smugly sip their soy latte that's just tinfoil hat
