Daeshun Ruffin
He committed to OM. Pretty highly ranked player in basketball for 2021 class from Jackson. Did we recruit him?
-
He is 5 Foot 9 155 lbs...flashy and likes to shoot...he is the only rated Mississippi basketball player right now.. I guess that makes him the top rated....as far as if we recruited him, who knows...I?m sure Howland and Brooks are still hiding from the Covid.

Considering he's top 50 in the country, yeah, I'd say he's the top rated player in MS.

At 5'9, 155? That's pretty incredible. Makes me want to watch him.

guess this will help the sting of losing some football player to the portal
OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) - Ole Miss campus police ask students to behave at future baseball games following a recent incident.
The university said students were reportedly throwing rocks at Georgia baseball players during last weekend's series.

Former Provine Posse and Ole Miss player David Sanders is his HS Coach....
-
Would he be nice to have...sure. Was he going to be nearly impossible to get with Deivon Smith in the class ahead of him and Sanders as his coach...yes! Good luck kid...I?d much rather see him playing with the worst roster in the SEC than Auburn, Bama, LSU, etc

I’m interested to see what Kermit does without Tyree.

He's really fun to watch. Can shoot the lights out and can jam with 2 hands at that size.

Get used to it. Basketball momentum is definitely swinging to the Dark Side.

I really thought Howland would retire this year...he just does not look like he has fire and his style of basketball is more suited for late 80s Big East

No it's really not.

His biggest adjustment is going to be running a team & not just jacking shots when he feels like. He would've been perfect for AK style of play but Kermit likes his PG to run the show & score not just jack up shots. Will be an interesting experiment.

My prediction is Ole Miss is really bad this year. Now, we might be even worse haha. I just think if Kermit doesn’t have shooters, his team doesn’t win.

They were LITERALLY the worst team in the league last year!

I agree. He's definitely a shoot first PG. I think AU would have been a better fit for his game.

Ole Miss did sign two of the top grad transfers in the country and a top 50 PG, so they should be much better than they were last year. They also lost Hinson in the transfer merry go round.
