I compare this situation to a marriage for better understanding.
Hubby has a one night stand with another & leaves wifey.
Wifey may let him come back, but that doesn't solve the marriage issues that led to the cheating in the first place. It just delays things until there is another cheating incident.
I really wish I knew what the root of JJ's problem with MSU is because that's what has to be solved for this situation to be solved for the long term. If the root cause isn't solved, then JJ will likely just do this again in a year or 2 years. It's just a matter of time.
And just like a marriage, how do you trust that person? How do you know he's there for you in thick & thin? How do you risk giving him leadership responsibilities when you don't know if he'll walk out the door?
This is what MSU must answer. Of course wifey wants fully committed hubby back, but how does that happen without it just being a band-aid?
It sounds to me like most of the issue is he wanted attention. I'd let the players mostly handle it amongst themselves. I think they will take care of it. See Errol Thompson.

I think he made an erratic decision without the sound counsel of those who matter most.

I know some have said that Leach might let the team have a vote to decide. But with everyone spread out and having to do Zoom meetings that's not so easy these days. Not sure how the traditional "team meeting/vote" would work.
Two chances - slim and none.

His parents were ok with it. IYOK may know something but I'm sticking to not happening. He doubled down with tweets about all the schools contacting him. I don't think he's humble enough to swallow his pride either.
And I can't see this staff babying him.

I know a lot of people don?t like the IB and he whiffed on Moorhead but I bet he gave Carter an earful. IB don?t play.

After running 10's of thousand of simulated scenarios, odds of JJ coming back to MSU are around 48.7254368%. **

What are the odds I give a shit what he does.

I wasn't there. But there are times to be diplomatic and things to throw a fit. This wasn't a time to throw a fit. Pretty sure he went into it from a different mode than you suggest. Don't ever throw rocks in a glass house....

I'm with this. Few words and wise words. I would bet they don't know what all he knows and he probably left it that way.

Why does it seem like the biggest promoters during recruiting never pan out? Elijah Staley, Charles Moore, etc.

As my grandfather uses to say better to keep your mouth shut and let people wonder than open your mouth and let them know for sure lol

If the players and coaches are cool with JJ being back, that’s all that matters
To quote a great American ... maybe it works out maybe it doesn’t . Let’s see what happens..

I think I'm going to go with ZERO percent right now.

This is why I never went over 50% we'd get him back.
Him coming back solved nothing. Just delayed
that being said, MSU has to fight this or it'll be open season on the roster
