Twitter stadium poll

State has been leading this poll for the last 24 hours by about 6-7 percent. In the last hour OM has gained like 8,000 votes to take a lead. Any of you smart guys know a way to combat this? Can we throw a bot on that poll to get those votes back? All of the OM official twitter accounts have been promoting this poll while State's hasn't even acknowledged it. Something fishy is going on when you've been losing for 24 hours and then get thousands of votes in ONE random HOUR after voting has slowed down since yesterday. Anything we can do? I know Arkansas had the lead for most of the time against them and then somehow OM found a way to get thousands of votes in a short period of time to win.

There was about an 8,000 jump in total votes and basically swapped from State being up 53% to OM being up about 52%. Just checked again and since I first posted this, State has now taken a slight edge at 50.5%. This is crazy

Hell it's just a fan vote. We know the Dude is the best college baseball stadium in the world. Swazye field is probably about the 4th or 5th best in the SEC. I am not a twit, but my wife has been voting for the Dude all the way through the process and she is a Auburn Grad (but she pulls for the good guys, because she loves me and is a huge fan of our basketball girls)

They're doing it again, but slower. At 70,000 total votes it was State 53.x%, OM 46.x%. Now at 73,000 votes it's State 51.2%, OM 48.8%. It's like they got all 3,000 of those votes.

As meaningless as this is, if they pull it out they'll find some kind of validation to claim having a superior park to The Dude. I've already heard enough from them about their "national championship" they just won from a similar poll. If you haven't heard about that, there was some other blog or social media account that held a fan voting poll to declare this year's baseball national champion and they of course went all in and voted and now they are claimed "champions" by whatever source this was. Pathetic, but they're gloating right now.

What's odd is that the poll has 70+K votes yet the twitter account has had 12.5K followers for over a day.

You'd think more people would follow a twitter account that they voted on.

And that?s why our official baseball twitter account has not even retweeted the contest and their?s is retweeting on the hour. We don?t need validation of this by a poll. We already know it?s the best. They are buying bot votes. It?s obvious.
