IMO and from my experience ... the closer to the Atkins diet any type O or B blood type is the better. Wheat is a type O's enemy. The A & AB blood types are more vegetarians and can handle bread & gluten better in most instances.
Sugar, pasta, breads, cakes are the US society's enemy in the weight loss/maintenance realm.

Interesting, never heard the blood type take.
Definitely too much enriched white bread consumption in the U.S. soft drinks are awful for you.

The US government is US society's enemy in the weight loss/maintenance realm. Still haven't purged their shitty advice from the public consciousness. Going to probably take another generation of doctors dying off also before people stop getting advised to eat low fat diets (which almost always in practice means high carb) and do things like drink skim milk.
