Joe was done. There were to many reliable people who's stories all lined up. The same people that told me about Cohen to AD, hiring Cann, Howland, Moorhead, etc. Then he got lucky and win the Egg and certain factions got excited about beating a crappy unm team and here we are

Lesson there should be sleep on things 24 hours and then make a major decision.

At least Cohen made him prove himself on the bowl trip. Let's be honest if we look good and organized during the Music City Bowl I would have been more open to staff changes. Instead as usual a leopard doesn't change his spots.

I would say our administration might have made a very smart move. You lose the Egg Bowl and he is gone no question, but if you win it let him stay around to sign the recruiting class and coach the bowl game. If he screws the bowl game like JoMo did then you can him. It gives you 10 plus days to sign a new coach during a dead period of recruiting and allows the contract to roll into a new year thus lowering the buyout.
