Cowbell age

Friend was cleaning out an attic and found this. Any idea how old it is?

I have a bell similar in shape and size that I purchased around 2000 but that one is much older. I grew up, late 60's- early 70's living next to and working on a dairy farm. The lead herd cow always wore a bell like that so that when it was milking time all you had to do was herd her and the rest would hear the bell and head toward the barn. The leather tab attached the bell to a chain around the cows neck, that way if she hung the bell on a fence or something, she could break loose.

I got mine in 1997 and it made it all the way to 2013 against Auburn......I beat it on the ground and the ringer flew out when we lost on the last drive. Got a new one the next day and have had it ever since.

I've never seen that logo, and I thought I'd seen them all. Early 60's is my guess... Especially from the shape of the bell.

That’s my guess. Definitely pre 1970.

He actually gave it to me, probably going to hang on to it, I think it's cool as hell and at least as old as I am.
