Rose bowl was correct that IB and Morevester met for a couple hours today, however he was wrong REAL wrong about the outcome of that meeting. After his tweet, many big shots in the cigar boys club who were already riled up about the post game interview met their breaking point and let it be known. I know for a fact one donor vowed to stop his 6 figure donations until the savant was gone.
Long story short. Moorhead was given an ultimatum that while you are the coach as of now, lets just say there?s a man down in Louisiana who may be having a big press conference of his own once they finish up their championship game....
U joined in Nov, have 22 posts and u know what is going on?
If u are correct u should be given $20m in v-cash.
I will not ever believe anything from anyone on here concerning our coaches
unless and until it actually happens.

Last night I read somewhere that Cohen had been going to practices quite a lot since AU game. And that he was pissed at Joe and didn't think he was the guy.

It doesn’t make sense to me at all either. The guy has split the fan base, told the cigar boys to kick rocks, told the fans he doesn’t care what we think about him....so let’s give him another year AND extend him.
Read out loud what I just typed and how silly that sounds. And then realize that’s what we just did.
Just give him the 6 million of the Leo Seal money and wish him well.
The only way this gets fixed is without Joe. That should be very apparent.

He's really willing to fight the whole world to keep a bad coach around 1 more year?
And what does " they do not have a choice at this point" mean, surely the boosters are powerful enough to force Cohens hand right
Cohen and Joe are extremely close friends. Talk on the phone for hours at a time after games and regularly meet, Thats one reason I wasnt suprised when he was defending him with Finebaum when he was on campus that was only the tip of the iceberg. Honestly, any other AD in the country would have probably fired him after that show he gave Thurs combined with everything else but apparently their personal relationship is what is getting in the way of any change being made. Cohen going to bat for his guy is what it boils down to.

Sounds like boosters are bitching out and the money and backing isn't there.
I think a lot of this board has Cohen pegged wrong. He's the Intense Bastard for a reason folks. You gave him that name because of how he acts.
I can't imagine he's sitting around twittling his thumbs without a clue what's going on. My guess is he's got a plan and he can't get enough backing on one side or the other. So we sit here in limbo until the needle is moved enough in one direction.

So Cohen was tying to slime his way into keeping Joe despite literally everyone wanting Joe gone, but Joe flipping off our fans and boosters made it harder for him, but he still stuck by him? Why? What the hell does Cohen see that he's willing to fight the people who wright the checks he needs them to?
I was willing to give Cohen a pass on hiring Moorhead because we all thought it would work... but to actually fight to save him now is an inexcusable error isn't judgment. Apparently 90% of us can evaluate football coaches better than him. He's gotta go

So say the magic two words, “you’re. fired.” - Then call up every donor who gives five figures or more and raise the buyout money. Tell them “Joe told me to my face he wished Sherman’s March would have gone from Jackson to Starkville” so please help me rid myself of this meddlesome coach.

Then again- just fire him. If that’s true.

Then he needs to do something about it.
I also realize that just because it hasn’t happened on the timeline I would prefer doesn’t mean it isn’t going to happen. But why put word out that we are keeping (and extending!) him?

Yeah, it's time for Cohen to go. He's his boss not his BFF. This is a total cluster and it looks like it's on Cohen. Wow.

Cohen always hauls out of the press conferences. Most of the time, he leaves before they even start.

You gotta be freakin kidding me. I've never said Fire Cohen but now I am. His ass needs to go if his bonding with Joe not only hosed up a coaching hiring but now also the subsequent firing.
ETA: And if they'd quit "talking on the phone for hours" maybe Joe would watch some damn game film a little between games.

Yeah there are some things that aren’t adding up to me at all.
Heck might as well bite the bullet because we’re going to be doing the same thing next year. Unless Cohen ****s that up too.

Cohen is an ass. He doesn't have any friends. Just telling the truth.

If that's the case the Cohen should be fired, not for what he thought about Joe but it ain't his job to be going to practice.

I said it weeks ago and I'm gonna stand by it.
I don't think we are good for the money. I honestly don't believe our resources are willing to pony up what it takes. We ar clearly missing something here.
There's too much he said this and source said this. Nothing concrete. Just conjecture and supposition. To me, there's no way Cohen allows crap to go down like it has and look like he's getting steamrolled. He's not the Intense Bastard because he gets rolled over. It's because he's got a little ass to him.
This situation seems out of his control. It's not his style for us to be grapevining all this crap with zero concrete evidence to pull from. He's been active on Twitter today too. So something must be going on where he's having to let some things play out.
