There were 7 officials on the field looking at that play, two of the were within 10 yards of the play and there was no call on the field. There is absolutely no reason for the booth to be involved at all, it’s not the way it was intended to be used at all. It’s selective officiating used at the behest of the big boys in our league and it happens all the time.

It’s a player safety issue. Not just the player being hit, but the one hitting with his helmet.

You're wrong dude. The new rule put in place is that they can go to review specifically for missed targeting calls. Thompson led with the crown of his helmet into the defenseless receiver's chest. That is by definition textbook targeting because it was textbook targeting. Stop arguing an apple is an orange when it is in fact an apple.
