Yeah only 300+ yards this half and on pace to score 42. Turnovers have made us look just ok. Defense needs to tighten up a bit. We'll see if Shoop adjusts.

I have actually seen a young DL that has created some pressure on passing downs and several hits where they simply didn't fully wrap up. And this is a really really good OL. And this will be one of the shiftiest and quick QBs we will see this year

Fitz first start wasn’t as a SR.

Last year's ULL team was completely different.

On defense, we have sucked so far. People out of position. People not tightening their coverage. People not tackling. That is coaching and players. Shoop should adjust at half.
Lets go.
The scheme is sound. I’ve seen a shit ton of missed tackles.

Yep, I’m sure they are a real joy live and in person.

That's fair. Stevens was supposed to be infinitely better in this offense though according to most of this board.

A play before 2 seconds on the clock. Let the O get in rhythm

Quit comparing last year. Last year don't mean shit for either team. Just like Mullen used to say, it's a new team every year.

He is better but he will be infinitely better as we go through the season. He definitely is a better passer and I think he will he as good a runner as we get through the season but we won’t be running our QB nearly as much as we did last year.

Maybe give him a solid 8 drives at game speed. He is atleadt targeting the correct guys every play. Just hasn't gotten his internal clock set and timing yet. You have to admit, those throws looked pretty. Timing will get there.

Well, that was in response to a comment saying we look more complete on offense. Context matters

I'm not gonna "sing his praises" but if you can't see that he is seeing the field better in this offense than Fitzgerald, then I'm not sure you understand what you're seeing. Yeah, you can tell that tommy has not gotten rid of it a couple times when he should have, but he's going through the second and third reads. The only thing I would say he's not done passing that I wish he would recognize is that Hill has been open several times and he could have simply dumped it off and gotten positive yards.

We're the only 3 teams in our conference playing right now and we're actually winning our game looking competent. I didn't put us on their level. I gave context as to how the conference is doing on noon kickoffs in week 1.
Florida looked worse on offense than last year with the same QB too. TAMU played basically FCS level competition and took a bit to put it "out of reach".

Ok - compared it to how Fitz looked against KSU. Pretty sure that game caused a meltdown and calls for KT to start.
