Their LF is legit. He robbed a ball that is a run scoring double against anyone else

Playing deep. Their LF is outstanding. He played that well in regionals.

This kid they have is a a good pitcher, but he’s a freshman pitching infront of a crowd that is unmatched at a collegiate level. I foresee struggles in the coming innings....

I am insanely impressed with Small's ability to adjust.

Stanford was on his fastball so he's used the changeup to set up the fastball.

Just incredibly impressive to see a college guy do that. It's why he's going to pitch for 10+ years in MLB. Not a one trick pony

I think we see small go deep regardless of pitch count as long as he is effective

I agree, as long as he's effective I could see him going 120 pitches tonight....but my gut tells me if he goes 6 we'll go to Liebelt, White, Gordon regardless

Small plays chess while the hitters play checkers. He is a very smart pitcher. Having to pitch from the stretch kinda neutralizes him that’s why play in the field needs to be great behind him.

No matter his pitch count Small always seems to go 6. He's at waht, 5 pitches now? So if he keeps rolling he'll be at about 100 after 6 and we don't bring him back out. That's what I think will happen

Boy, that Stanford outfield is slow. Get the ball in the air & make them run after it
