We knew those teams would eventually get their heads out of their ass and play(outside of last year, I don't think anyone saw that coming). This team's problems are much more than that. This team's problems stem around the fact that after Small and Ginn we don't have a pitcher that can go more than one inning. The hitting will come around, but unless we go gorilla ball on everyone or Small and Ginn are able to turn in multiple CGs down the stretch we're in a world of trouble.

Keegan and Plumlee need to grow up. Especially Plumlee. He's very immature off the field.

I'm just kidding about Lemonis so far...the O has been good most of the year, but not this weekend. Not kidding at all about Joe though
The thing that Lemonis showed this weekend that is extremely concerning imo is he is stubborn as a mule and it looks like no matter what we will not adjust our approach at the plate. This causes a feast or famine mentality. It doesn’t look like we adjust to pitcher tendencies nor does it look like we adjust very well to odd strike zones. Add that to the fact that it didn’t look like today we were even sitting dead red fastball on a pitcher whose fastball was the only pitch he could get over the plate for a strike and it looks like our approach is flawed. We would let 87-88 mph fastballs that were right down Broadway go by and swing at pitches in the dirt. Just horrible approaches at the plate all weekend long and we did the same thing on Tuesday as well. Maybe we just don’t like Thursday series starts. We are 1-5 so far in Thursday series starts.

The hitting will come around? The hitting was a big reason we got swept. We allowed a backup QB to shut us out. The hitting is a HUGE HUGE piece on why we sucked this weekend. You can’t score 8 runs on the weekend against Arkansas and win a series against them. They are the third best hitting team in the conference with a very flawed pitching staff.

Who said that he realized the issues you just mentioned? Did Gautreau tell him?

Sure but I’d put our problems why we got swept this weekend at 60% hitting 30% pitching and 10% fielding.

Agreed. This sport is different than any other. We will be ok but this weekend was not acceptable. This was basically the kentucky game

THAT'S their ****ing character right now. All about them getting their pats on the back.
I think this is true. Its already shown one time in the LSU series. At Arkansas is tougher than LSU at home and we looked fat and happy or feeling sorry for ourselves for 5 games of those 2 series

Pretty good analogy. Poorly prepared and poorly coached in both.

A turkey shit sandwich. From hitting, pitching (outside of Ginn), to coaching was all around horrible. We better come out firing on all cylinders next weekend or we will find ourselves outside of hosting a super

Steve Robertson’s interviews of Lemonis after the games are a joke. He tosses those questions about as soft as you could toss them like underhanded coach pitch softball. I was fully expecting Lemonis to say as one of his answers the infamous quote “That’s baseball.”

I'm not giving up but I think it's been a foregone conclusion by a lot of people that this team would make a deep post season run but honestly I wouldn't bet on it. We've got some serious flaws and you can't always hit your way out of shitty pitching and piss poor defense. The hole at 3rd and questionable infield "D", the lack of a 3rd and 4th starter, lack of "good" pitching depth in the bp and lack of a closer is a hell'uva lot to overcome. The margin for error in the post season is razor thin.

I love Mangum and think he’s one of the best players I’ve ever seen play the game here but I was highly disappointed when I heard his interview on Thursday with that former Tennessee player when they asked him why he cane back. He mentioned something about the SEC hitting record and that he loves this place and that he wanted to play in the new park but absolutely no mention of wanting to win a national title. None. I think that is the mentality of the team and they feed into what Mangum does. He got two hits the whole weekend. That about sums up how we played. This will be another team that makes the tournament, possibly hosts, but in the grand scheme of things won’t even end up in the top ten of teams that we have ever had. And to think I actually thought this team had a chance to win a national title. What an idiot I am.

Today’s loss was on our inability to hit and get a good lead early when we had ****ing Ginn on the mound. Ginn gave us a great start we shitted away because our idiot hitters couldn’t hit a backup QB. When we are hitting like we did this weekend, it really doesn’t matter who pitches.

I hope they prove me wrong but I haven’t seen an MSU team play collectively like that since 2015.
