Just another year of the Diamond Dawgs tucking their tails while the rest of the league is peaking. Also, Duplantis is creeping up on Jake.

Hell I can't. Ask fatass in the dugout who makes the lineup card.

Every time the team feels pressure they fold. Hitters (LSU and now), fielders (LSU), and pitchers (multiple examples). On the road there's more pressure and we struggle more. You can really tell in the hitting... all the sudden it's like nobody wants to take a pitch and they bit on everything. 0 ability to recognize spin because they wise it was a FB, zero effort to stay on the ball and drive it because pulling it gives them a better shot at a HR, zero effort to work the count because that would mean you have to face the pressure of the at bat for longer. On the pitching side of things we have very few pitchers who don't crumble under pressure. Just pathetic. If we don't fix our mindset we'll lose on the road to whatever SR team is hosting us.

We’ve allowed a true freshman QB to shut us down who’s only win is against Arkansas Pine Bluff. Let that sink in. He pitched 15 pitches against Vandy and gave up 7 runs. Our inability to blow this game out early put a ton of pressure on our pitching which eventually the dam broke.

Not surprising since we couldn't hit Texas Southern's POS either. No one give me "he pitched a good game". That guy sucked and we made him look good.

Seven innings of shut out baseball to a guy who is going to get his first SEC win. This team won’t even make it to the Supers. No ****ing way.

A game like this makes you think back to the USM game where we went scoreless for 10 innings. It also makes you take a look at that strength of schedule which is 54th in the country and start to wonder just how good we actually are. UF, Bama, and UT are not very good. We beat AU when AU was without 2 of their weekend starters. Lost 2 of 3 to LSU, and get swept by Arky.

Spot on. Will see if they are just front runners or they have some stones.

Horseshit. This is still a game until Barlow comes in and takes a dump in his ****ing diaper. He blew this game up. Our bullpen is filled with soft candy asses.

They're better than this.
How do I know? Because they've done it before. But all weekend- poor approach at the plate, poor fielding, not attacking hitters...that's all mostly controllable. Emphasis on mostly. What I mean is- you may strike out but at least make them throw you 8-10 pitches to do it. You may give up a hit or a home run as a pitcher- but at least have it be because you went right after the hitter and attacked his ass. Baserunning- that's about being smart, knowing the fielders and their abilities, and trusting your coaches.
Our SOS is KILLED by scheduling five SWAC teams- which was stupid on whoever's part. Especially with La Tech basically begging us to play them in a game. So don't go by SOS especially when our RPI is in the teens.

My how times have changed. Looks like every post in the game thread isn't required to be 100% positive on the baseball team any more without firing up the polyannas. Seriously though, I have been concerned about some things with this team for a few weeks. We seem to be dominant over weak competition but have struggled against teams with roughly equivalent talent. Per what I'm seeing, we don't have enough dependable pitching and our defense on the infield is not as good as normal. If our hitting stops, which it has this weekend, we become a very average team in this conference if that.

The ONLY concerning thing is their attitude. The teams we've lost to are just as flawed as the teams we have beaten. I'm talking SEC play and our good OOC teams.
