Worst part, Mangum saw q total of 7 pitches tonight for the entire game.

Is Mangum in a "slump?" What a slump is for him anyway. He usually gets multiple hits a game, but it doesn't seem like that's happening lately.

I think Jake is kinda feeling the pressure of breaking the record. I think once he gets that mark which should happen in the next week we will see him come alive. Also its baseball and he is still hitting right at .400

Absolutely! We got more national exposure from that one deal than we have from the entire baseball program in it's storied but flawed history. College baseball is a complete niche sport. If our fans care more for it than football, then that's why football is where it is. It explains a LOT. There is a reason ESPN gives more exposure during the regular season to softball.

I'd be willing to bet you whatever you wanted that college baseball has WAY higher ratings than college softball. Look up ESPNs tv programming schedule including the SEC network and prove to me college softball gets more coverage than baseball does. I think you just dont like baseball

The hit he got was poorly hit too. Ball bounced 3 feet in front of home plate off the bat. He just hit it literally in the only spot the infield couldn't get it based on their positioning.

He needs to see better and more pitches. His hitting the last week or so is why MLB teams are concerned about him going forward. He either hits 1 or 8 in the majors. If he can't show plate discipline and the ability to work counts, he's not gonna hit leadoff. So he hits in the 8 hole. You aren't spending a decent draft pick on an senior, undersized CF with no power and a quick bat trigger to hit in your 8 hole.
