Doesn?t look like we are focused at the plate. We are swinging under a lot of pitches and just lazy fly balling them to the outfield. No line drives. I think we don?t have any patience either. Only two batters who have stretched this guy into deep counts are Mangum, Mac, and Gilbert.

If I had a dollar for everytime I heard him say "3 unassisted is how you score that play" I'd be able to but enough beer to not care about how bad this broadcast is
-
See what I mean? Another fly ball out and on one pitch.

If I had to guess, the sec opponents are pitching to the scouting report and our hitters are not adjusting their approach. You have to know the scouting report against you as much as you do your opponent. I have seen very little adjustments at the plate if any at all. The only player that adjusts from bat to bat and game to game is Mangum. He knows what he?s doing. The other guys are not looking for the pitches that they know the pitcher is going to throw them in certain counts/situations.
Good hitters know what the pitcher is about to throw them before the catcher even sends The signal, more times than they guess wrong. If you barrel up a pitch fair or foul, you are not getting that the next AB unless the pitcher gets behind. It?s a constant learning and computation from AB you AB, hitter to hitter, and game to game.

Finally. Foscue comes thru again. 1-0

Great hitting by Foscue 1-0. Now need Tanner to come through here.

Moving Allen ahead of Skelton was a dumb move.

How many lazy fly balls is that?

Nice job by Foscue. Allen might as well take a fungo bat up there...he's just giving the outfield fly balls to shag

And what’s worse he’s moved up in the order when Skelton was actually delivering much more then Allen was.

Agreed, not sure what the point was in that. At least we are stringing some hits together this inning.
-
Making this guy work. Gonna get in their pen soon. Single for Skelton. We are doing a good job of extending innings even without getting runs. Turns lineup over and gets top More at bats.

Allen really should be batting 8th imo until he’s shown that he’s out of this slump.
