    Weather

Just saw that Oktibbeha County has a tornado warning. Any activity noticeable for those of you that live down that way?

There's also a warning for extreme NE Mississippi.

And another watch issued for the rest of north Mississippi and the NW quadrant of Alabama.

    Let's see what I see.

    Tornado watch until 7pm [tweet2]1106241315807920128[/tweet2]

Tornado Warning was north of campus. Did not affect MSU.

Looking at the radar. the edge of the line has the strongest winds nearing 60mph. the warned area does show an area of contrasting winds likely a tornado heading ENE likely just south of Aberdeen.

The picture in Mike Brown's tweet isn't just a funnel cloud ... that's a tornado.

Schools are dismissing here anywhere from 11:30 to 1:00, depending on which system and which grade level.

Channel 48 just showed radar from Greenwood Springs that had a hook echo south of Amory. That's probably the one you mentioned that has moved.

Very possible. Hard to know if it's on the ground though.

Looks on the ground to me (the last picture), but yes, there are trees in the way in the distance so it possibly could be elevated just a bit. I don't think so though.

Lots of warnings near Starkville. And that area wasn't even in the Enhanced probability earlier today. I shudder to think what it'll be like here as the afternoon progresses.
