    He's slowly realizing he's not the least bit relevant anymore and he can't take it. Got to keep his name in the news. However, suing Barstool is only going to make it worse. Now no sports company will feature you since they think you'll sue them.

    Is Portnoy the dude with the lisp? The one that’s talking for most of that video? If so, he’s a kinda goofy sounding guy himself to be making fun of people.

    However, Stingray has to have some kind of self-awareness. He tried to get famous with goofy, over-the-top vids, and he became a meme. Welcome to the public eye. I’d be annoyed, too, if somebody made a meme like that about me. But I also wouldn’t have made the vids he did, so, there’s that.

    Except, Barstool apparently defended him. It was world star that used the post to shame and humiliate him. Barstool apparently wrote an article saying to leave ole stingray alone...

    Both celebrity and politicians can sue for libel or slander. They have to prove it was false and made them with actual malice or was negligent in saying or writing them. Politicians don't sue because they all engage in the practice but other public figures and celebrities sue all the time and win.

    He may have a chance to win in the lawsuit against World Star but the Barstool article is a tongue-in-cheek defense of him so Barstool is in the clear. I think most level-headed people understand what they were doing but their defense is solid to men. I understand the comment was mean but like Portnoy said, "that caption is brutal, but...funny is funny"
