And Willie Mitchell was the first Mississippian to make it to MLB. Also the greatest player for the old Jackson Senators was Banks McDowell- another former Diamond Dawg.
I think Hugh Critz, Alex Grammas, the Bragan brothers and RP Patty also belong from the old days.

Hugh Critz had a car dealership for many years in Grrenwood.

It may have been mentioned in another thread, but Palmeiro's plaque in the Ring of Honor has a spelling error that should be corrected. It says that he is the "Lighting in Thunder and Lightning".
