It needs to be 5 timeouts per half. Any play can be reviewed regardless of whether a flag is thrown. Bias Refs then can’t hide behind not having thrown a flag....

3-5 plays a game determines the winner & will be the first great step to closing the bias advantage of the blue bloods namely Bama.

But they didn't miss the call on purpose. Firing experienced refs won't do anything but create a toxic work environment and less experienced officiating crews.

I love this idea. If your right on your first "miscellaneous challenge" you get another. That way coaches aren't fearful of using it early in the game for obvious no calls.

If firing people for being incompetent pisses of their fellow remaining refs, then the whole league of refs should be fired. No profession I've ever worked in tolerates this type of incompetence. And I fired a guy last week. The work environment didn't become toxic afterward. Instead, his coworkers said to me "glad he's gone because he wasn't good at his job." It actually improved the environment.

Any referee who has pride in his job realizes that this is a smear on their profession and would want these guys gone. I've never been upset when an incompetent coworker is fired. Never. I've always been glad to see them go.

That's a fair and legit question. In the real world, small mistakes are considered human error. They don't get you fired unless you make a bunch of them. However huge mistakes get you fired immediately. They are considered negligence, or something that embarrasses the company. This call was huge, and it was gross negligence. That performance gets you fired from many jobs. And also sued for negligence in the world of medicine, engineering, etc.

You have to hold people accountable. That's just life. These guys make $189,000 a year. Why should they, or any professional, be exempt from accountability?

One thing the NFL does that adds to the problem is that for playoffs they select all star crews, so you have a bunch of refs who haven’t worked a game together calling the most important and scrutinized games of the season.

Again. Ill reiterate the same point for the 5th year in a row. We can detect gnat ass hairs on mars and Jupiter. We are sending spacecraft billions of miles further into space. We are landing craft on comets and other space objects. We have technology that tells our government where we are at all times of the day if you own a cell phone. The location of our being. Room of the house etc. how can we not get every single call in a sports game correct? Balls and strikes. Slaps on the wrist. Flops. Spot of the ball in football. If the ball crosses the goal line or out of bounds. Were there two feet? It?s endless but technology would solve all of it and get the calls correct in speedy fashion.

As I state every time, any rational person understands this. At the same time this same rational person understands money talks and larger more popular teams TALK THE MOST. Taking the human element out of it takes the ability of said league to aid a certain outcome. As long as money oriented people run these leagues and their salaries and bonus metrics are made up of viewers and monetary goals, this will Continue to occur.

Theisman and other people sound a lot like the larger issues in this country. If something is roually f*cked up, let?s just add more of it and see if it works out better. It?s a completely asinine, naive and ignorant way to go through life.
