Lane Kiffin to Alabama as OC?

It's pretty interesting to me that Saban has him there to evaluate their offense.

They were 16th in scoring offense averaging 38.8 points per game.

They were 36th in total offense.

Sounds like a glorified job interview to me.

check his agent... the one that just got Saban an extra few million a year...

it's a PR stunt to return him to the good glory of the college football faithful by having the long ask his opinion. nothing more. nothing less.

in fact... I didn't even check to make sure. I'm 99% sure without even looking that this is a Sexton orchestrated deal.

well,also- Kiffen is not a dumbass. Some guys can know alot of football and be good coaches- yet be shitty head coaches.

I can't see Saban putting up with Kiffin's drama train.

I watched Kiffen do a couple of ESPN interviews after he was fired. It won't be long before he's hired again. He's quite the salesman.

Kiffikins may make a shitty HC but I have no doubt the guy knows his Xs and Os and can gameplan. He still would make a fine coordinator. Just don't ask him to be the boss and to set the tone at the top for all assistants.
