Much as I hate to say it......
....ReBearShark Basketball may be relevant again. Solid active big crowd. They got some nice freshmen pieces too. Not going to be an easy out for anybody in the SEC like it used to be. Ben's got his work cut out for him now......we need to get it going!

They had a huge halftime lead against auburn. We damn may well start out conference action 0-2. It?s a definite if we give the effort we have last night.

Midweek conference road game after extended time off. Everybody is reacting too much

Om mixing up defenses, and it's quite effective. Pretty sure howland has Peter sirmon as a consultant on our porous man-to-man

It's almost as if it's good to be flexible with your defensive strategy.

When football down, basketball good.

Kermit bout to beat #11 in first year. Curious, what is the highest rated team howland has beat here in 4 years?
-
I will say this, Stricklin should be banned from campus for hiring Rick Ray over Kermit Davis. Makes no sense

I don't go to many games since my Dad died, but I'll be there Saturday. Going by myself.

OM never trailed auburn... just straight up kicked their butts. We may be in trouble Saturday
-
Kermit is a great b-ball coach. His teams play with unreal intensity....ours does not. I dread what may happen Saturday.
-
We have not looked that good in 4 years under Howland
-
One last comment. Only two teams started conference play later than the rest of the conference on the road after a long layoff. Both lost. SEC schedulers are just not good.

That?s strange, they?ve lost more than two games. Everyone knows your team isn?t worth supporting after the 2nd loss

I mean, I can't disagree. Very disciplined, high intensity team. Auburn looked like us actually. Bad passes, jacking up 3s, not setting up the offense, dribbling it off their feet like Q last night. The bright side is that the sharks' NET ranking is higher than ours now. So if we beat them, it helps us.

We HAVE to match their intensity and value our ball possessions. If not, it won't be a good Bulldog look. We can beat them....just got to suck it up for a full 40 minutes.

I think we win, but we have to be mentally right to do so. Anything less than 100% won't cut it.

This. OM played well, but Auburn losing just reinforced how tough it'll be to win on the road this year (i.e., USCe).
