All you geniuses THOUGHT you knew all the Guitar Greats--Clapton says you forgot one
he was being interviewed and asked why are you not talking about Prince?
thank me for educating you.

Robert Johnson....game, set, and match. Most modern guitarists, Clapton including, have no idea how he did what he did. They certainly can't do it.

Thats the guy I was thinking of. He had a big hit back in 91 which was great.

Not the same guy. Robert Johnson was an old time Delta Bluesman. He is the guy that supposedly went down to a crossroads and sold his soul to the Devil in order to be able to play the guitar like he did. He is one of the most influential guitarists of all time.

No the guy who I am thinking about was from Austin Texas and was a great Gutiarest. He had an acoustic melody back in 91.
-
Robert Johnson was unreal. Here's a clip of him playing rhythm & lead at the same time.
-
Clapton says you just can't do what Johnson did with one guitar and guitarist. Clapton also acknowledges that Johnson did indeed do it, but he has no idea how.

Mississippi John Hurt is also an underrated ICON; he is the God Father of multiple guitar picking. Lived somewhere between Greenwood & Grenada.

I've definitely posted this video in previous threads before. It never gets old. Prince shreds.

Hell yes. This is the guy. Listen to the stuff he recorded in 1928 and then try to find something else comparable from the era. Dude was like a rip in the space-time continuum.

Ery body complains bout roids in sports but what did Robert Johnson do to obtain those massive hands and fingers? Shit just wasn't fair.
-
Here's another "Johnson" that's pretty good a guitarin'.... I dunno what it is, but there's just somethin' bout em....
