    I've said Memphis all along on Jeffries. For those that don't know, Jeffries played on Penny's AAU team so that's hard to overcome. We still have a chance though. Howland and Brooks have done all they could do.

    If he showed up in Starkville tonight it would be tipped of the cap from Howland to Penny telling him Olive Branch may be close but it ain't Memphis & he still runs this state. We'll see if he shows.

    A coach at Olive Branch who played football with my son and he also played at MSU back in the late 1998-2002, said he thought it was Memphis. He said the kid loved Penny. Also said MSU did a really good job recruiting him.

    I heard the same. I heard Penny and Howland were running a dead heat and lil Penny is what swayed it in Memphis direction.

    We have 12 scholarship players. We lose Q and Holman to graduation this year. That puts us at 10 if everyone else returns. Right now it looks like we're only after 3 guys, which will put us at 13. Are we expecting every non-senior back? That would be a small miracle

    We have 13 scholarship players. You're likely not counting Prince Oduro.
