They never will have the defense because of the way Texas high school recruits are ranked and the style of play in Texas high schools. I?ve posted this repeatedly since they joined the league. They are basically a big 12 team in the SEC. Oklahoma has the closest resemblance of a SEC defense.

Texas high schools play more of a finesse style than the old school smash mouth coaches run in the true south. A 4* there is much different than a 4 star here because of that and because of the offenses each region plays.

Mullen may beat UGA. Florida has a salty D and they can run the ball too.

I don?t think any of us believed he wasn?t a good coach. Look what he did in 2009. He has upgraded talent at a school that mostly recruits itself. If he had had more energy and drive at state to battle and play the game with top recruits, he could have gotten to Atlanta in maroon. He was lazy and arrogant on the recruiting trail and that was ultimately why we never won the west. We were always missing at least one key price and usually that key priece was on offense, the part of the team he was responsible for.

Let?s hope the new change brings in those key pieces. Really only WRs and a little more OL.

Here's a thought. Kentucky already beat uf. Kentucky has just as good a shot at beating uga as uf. If uk beats uga uk will be in Atlanta. East is up for grabs

He wasn't as lazy and arrogant as many think. We have the best talent we have ever had the last few years. We have more guys in the NFL now than we have ever had, and it's not close. Just because something gets repeated over and over doesn't make it true. Mullen will win big at Florida.

Kentucky surprised Florida, and to some extent us. They don't have that element of surprise anymore. They won't beat UGA. The UGA UF winner goes to Atlanta.

Guess we'll find out. They're defense is as good as uf and they run it just as well. Let's just see what happens framing in absolutes never works.
