Well last week was disappointing and State fans have been wanting a QB change all week. No this is not 2001, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2013, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2020, or 2023. It's 2025. And I fully expect, barring Shapen being downgraded on the injury report, he will start on Saturday night in CoMo. Mizzou is as good defensively as they are bad offensively. The matchup of the game will be our front 7 vs their O Line. Can we get movement and create holes for our LBs to fill and contain Hardy and Roberts. If so, we have a chance. Because they are ANEMIC passing the ball right now. If not, they'll win by 2 TDs.

Defensively they are very aggressive and very good. Mizzou is 6th in the country in sack percentage and 9th in sacks per game. Shapen is going to have to get rid of the ball quick and our O Line is going to have to hold up. Running lanes will not be there unless we open that up with the pass. Mizzou is 13th in country in defending the run so folks wanting Kamario to come in and run it are not going to like what they see. Kamario will need to play situationally but he's got to be extremely smart with the ball, make the correct reads, and not take chances. Because on top of all those great defensive stats, they are also elite against the pass.

This will be the best D BY FAR that we have faced all year and you are playing them at night, at home, and on their Senior Night.

For that reason, and I hope I'm wrong, Mizzou 21-Dawgs 13
