Severe storms are expected to develop starting early this afternoon across much of northern and western MS. A severe thunderstorm watch will be issued in the next hour or so. Strong winds, large hail, and a couple isolated tornadoes will be possible. Tornado threat will be maximized in any discrete cells that form out ahead of the main line. Timing should start along the River in the next 1-2 hours and finally push out of the state late tonight.
