Give it to Hendu and go get Mcdonell in 3 years haha

For the record I would be fine with Lemonis but at the same time I agree- why not just promote Jake?
If we hire Lemonis and keep Jake I wouldn't worry about the offense to be honest. His pitching coach is Kyle Bunn who has been around the SEC for a long time.

If this is truly the hire, then we just should've kept Hendo and not broken up the band. This is a hire almost no one will get behind

This is a fine hire. Went to Omaha multiple times as an assistant. McDonnell protege. Won at Indiana and took them to a regional 3 out of 4 years. Guy can recruit.
It's not a home run. But as has been established already. We don't need a home run. We need the right fit. We got the guy McDonnell trained for 7 years. I think this has very good potential. But I expect most to shit on this hire, blast Cohen, and not understand what constitutes a good hire.

If it is Lemonis, that is like the wife telling me no on Sofia but it is ok to shag the 300lb neighbor lady.
This will be the biggest ?what the 17? ever and we at MSU know about some ?what the 17s?. Indiana has taken a step back since he has taken over there.
Cohen reveres McDonnell too much to listen to him on this.

The only thing Cohen should be blasted for is getting on the radio and running his mouth about hiring a hall of fame coach.
This is a good hire for us.

Agreed. He’s a recruiting mastermind. He’s just as responsible for Louisville’s run as anybody.

Completely agreed. Cohen hopefully learned a valuable lesson in this. I think he 100% got personally involved in the emotion of this season and this hire and took this cluster 17 turned Final Four personally. Felt like he had to sell the program and beat his chest to show we were ok. He is this program. Played here and coached here and I 100% get it. Hopefully he learns a valuable lesson that as the AD you have to turn that off and keep things close to the vest and not be so public with comments related to the search.
But this is a really good hire. Those that get baseball understand this. Those that don't will be more focused on blasting Cohen and us not getting a current Top 10 HC

But what if that 300lb slag is in reality a smoke show in a fat suit?

Top 10? From all I heard and read I thought it was Top 5 coaches that couldn't turn us down. O well, I had never heard of Joe Moorhead either and I think that is headed in the right direction. Time will tell. Hope this is not like the year Emory Bellard predicted we would win the SEC and we didn't win a single game.
